Survey results did indicate that boomers, who work closely with a financial professional, save a higher percentage, fourteen percent, of their annual income, which is about five percent more than those who are not working with a financial professional. Yet only twenty-three percent of those surveyed work closely with a financial professional.
Of those, seventy-one percent indicate that their financial professional helps them to understand different savings/investment products and sixty three percent feel they help simplify the investment process. It appears that the opportunity exists for financial professionals to assist baby boomers in developing a well-balanced plan for retirement.
